Yesterday, we had an incredible time attending the Kent Science Park 80th Anniversary Oak Tree Celebration – a truly memorable event that brought the KSP community together to mark this amazing milestone.
Here’s what we got up to:
🍹 We kicked things off with a refreshing drink and some great conversations with our fellow KSP neighbours.
🎤 We were inspired by Dr David Potter JP’s heartfelt speech, his 50-year journey on-site as a botanist was both fascinating and humbling.
🌱 The PlantWorks seed station was a hit! We filled our bags with seeds and fertiliser, and even picked up some of their brilliant Empathy rootgrow™ samples.
🧁 The nursery children absolutely stole the show – selling delicious cupcakes and helping to "plant" the commemorative oak tree.
🌿 We picked up some top gardening tips from the fantastic JB Landscapes team.
🎨 And yes, we left our fingerprint on the oak tree artwork – a small but meaningful way to leaf a legacy!
Huge thanks to everyone who helped organise this event, it was the perfect way to honour 80 years of innovation, community, and growth at Kent Science Park 🌟
