Are you eager to build a career in international business development and technical sales within the life sciences industry? This internship is designed for native Korean and/or Japanese speakers who are keen to work closely with Sales Account Managers, support APAC customer accounts, and contribute to the expansion of AbBaltis in Korean and Japanese-speaking markets.

As a Business Development Intern at AbBaltis, you will play a critical role in supporting sales activities for Korean and/or Japanese-speaking regions. You will manage data, material lists, and technical documentation for our Sales Account Managers, assist with pre-sales and technical sales activities, and help ensure smooth communication between customers and internal teams.

In addition, you will contribute to the localisation and translation of our website and marketing materials into Korean and/or Japanese, helping ensure that our technical content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and commercially effective for regional audiences.

This hands-on exposure will give you invaluable insight into AbBaltis’ niche life science industry and prepare you for a long-term career in technical sales and international business development.

    As you progress, you will support and help manage Korean and/or Japanese-speaking customer accounts, providing tailored technical and commercial solutions.

  • Sales Account Manager
    With continued development, the ultimate goal is progression into a Sales Account Manager role, owning regional accounts and driving revenue growth.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

As a Business Development Intern, you will actively support sales operations and technical sales activities, including:

  1. Supporting Sales Account Managers: Assist with day-to-day management of Korean and/or Japanese-speaking customer accounts.

  2. Sales & Technical Support: Act as a bridge between customers, Sales Account Managers, and internal technical teams.

  3. Working with Spreadsheets: Use Excel extensively for data management, pricing, offers, and reporting.

  4. Customer & Account Support: Help prepare materials, data packs, and documentation for customer discussions and technical sales conversations.

  5. Collaboration with Laboratory Teams: Work closely with the laboratory to align customer requirements with available materials and capabilities.

  6. Identifying In-Stock Items: Analyse data to match customer needs with available stock.

  7. Analysing Test Data: Review scientific and test data to determine required materials for customer projects.

  8. Creating Clear & Professional Spreadsheets: Present technical and commercial data clearly for internal teams and customers.

  9. Preparing Scientific Data Sheets: Support the creation of technical and scientific documentation for sales and marketing use.

  10. Offer & Pricing Support: Generate offer spreadsheets and assist in sales negotiations.

  11. Technical Problem Solving: Support complex customer requests and help identify solutions in collaboration with internal teams.

  12. Product & Market Insights: Identify and report new product opportunities, particularly relevant to the Korean and Japanese markets.

  13. Website & Marketing Localisation: Assist in translating and localising the company website, product descriptions, and marketing materials into Korean and/or Japanese, ensuring scientific accuracy and cultural relevance.

  14. Learning & Development: Build strong knowledge of biological markers, products, and applications relevant to AbBaltis’ portfolio.

 

Additional Duties

  • Any other duties as requested by the line manager to ensure the smooth running of the company

Candidate Requirements – Essential

  • Native level of Korean, Mandarin and/or Japanese

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Biomedical Science, etc.)

  • New graduates (no sales experience necessary)

  • Passion for sales.

  • Excellent work with Excel spreadsheets.
